Nina Fredland is a tenured Professor with 40+ years’ experience as a Nurse in various settings, Med Surg, ICU, trauma, school health, community, and academia. She is most proud of her service as a Navy Nurse and Viet Nam Veteran. She obtained a MSN in Cardiovascular Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, a PhD in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, and a Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Woman's University. Her research interests focus on Arts-based methods for healthy development and relationship formation, interactive theater for Children and Adolescents, Exposure to Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), Adverse Childhood Experiences, Bullying, Dating Violence, and Children. Other areas of interest include health policy/health promotion, parenting children with chronic illness during Covid19, and reintegration after military deployment.
