Doctoral Student
Walden University
With 35+ years of perioperative nursing in a variety of roles and settings, I continue to be a student with much to learn. I passionately promote the development and resilience of others in this arena. Past roles in education and quality improvement compelled me to better understand challenges new nurses face and to discover what inspires them to be resilient life-long-learners who will ultimately improve patient care. My doctoral research at Walden University focused on how quality and safety concepts from Periop 101 are embedded into practice during the early years of OR practice.
