Brandon Gantt, MHA, CRCST, is currently the Enterprise Manager of SPD Education and Training, Emory Healthcare Perioperative Services Enterprise, Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Gantt has had a varied healthcare career with stints in perioperative services business operations, sterile processing, supply chain, and allied health education. He formerly served as the manager sterile processing and operating room supply chain at Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center, a 500–bed academic medical center in Hershey, Pennsylvania and Adjunct Instructor, Allied Health at Community College of Baltimore County. At Penn State Mr. Gantt improved employee engagement, retention, process standardization, and operational efficiency. At the Community College of Baltimore County he facilitated learning and developed curriculum for allied health continuing education programs. Prior to joining Penn State, Mr. Gantt held support and leadership roles with increased responsibility at LifeBridge Health and Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Gantt completed his studies at University of Maryland University College earning a Bachelor of Science in health services management, Colorado State University earning a Master of Healthcare Administration, and Stevenson University with a post-baccalaureate certificate in quality management and patient safety.
Mr. Gantt’s professional memberships include the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He holds certifications in sterile processing (CRCST), clinical healthcare leadership (CHL), certified endoscope reprocessor (CER), project management and lean methodologies. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
