Marilyn Cristina Mislang Erive, BSN, RN, CNOR, is currently working as a Charge Nurse at the Perioperative Services Department of Stamford Health. She is also the Service Team Lead of General/ Colorectal Surgery and Resource person in various surgical specialties like Robotics, Trauma, Gyne, Bariatric and Urology. She is an active member of the Clinical Ladder Committee, OR Nursing Unit Board and Nursing Research Committee. Being one of the facility's Infection Control Coaches, Marilyn is instrumental in implementing the successful ERAS program on Colorectal Surgeries at Stamford Health. Marilyn is currently a CCI CNOR coach and one of Lincoln Tech's Nursing Clinical Instructors. She was also a Resource Speaker at the 2021 Armed Forces of the Philippines Nurse Corps Specialty Training Corps webinar, "Paradigm Shift in the Perioperative Care Pathway".
Tina (the name she is known as) graduated at the University of Santo Tomas, College of Nursing Manila Philippines. Before moving to Connecticut, she worked at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital Manila Philippines, Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization K.S.A. and at Baptist Health System- South Miami Hospital Miami Florida.
Marilyn is the recipient of two AORN Global Surgical and Expo poster awards: a Silver in the Evidence-Based Category for "ERAS: Improving Surgical Experience in Colorectal Surgeries" (2020) and Gold in the Design and Concept Category for "The Psychological Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on OR Nurses" (2021).
