Ms. Peneza was honored in 2018 as Promising Professional Achievement Awardee by the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN), Outstanding Filipino Nurse by Philippine Nurses Association of Metropolitan Houston, Nurse Excellence Pillar Awardee (Nurse as Innovator) by Memorial Hermann Hospital - Texas Medical Center, in 2020 with an Excellence in Neuroscience Education by AANN, and in 2021 with an Outstanding Achievement in Perioperative Education by AORN.
Ms. Peneza’s collaborative innovative ventures include serving as Project Head of Memorial Hermann Hospital’s Covid – 19 PPE Task Force, Lead Author for the Perioperative Chapter of the Core Curriculum for Neuroscience Nursing, and Contributor to the Neuroscience Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice. Her stellar presidential term helped AORN of Greater Houston attain 5 Star Chapter Level and Chapter of Excellence (Large Category) last 2021. She was recently elected as a member of the Nominating Committee of AORN.
As a dedicated lifelong learner and advocate of excellence in nursing, she finds joy in sharing her passion for perioperative care, neuroscience practice, creative education, and professional development through multiple international presentations and publications.
