Lisa J. Warner, MHA, RN, CNOR has been a perioperative nurse for over 38 years. Lisa received her BSN from University of Portland-School of Nursing and her master’s in health administration from Seton Hall University. She has maintained her certification for Periop nursing for more than 30 years. She started her nursing career at the Seattle VA as a new grad in the OR, then worked as a civilian in the OR with DoD at Fort Bliss, Tx. She then worked at NIH a few years and then finally settling in at the Phoenix VA Health Care System where she became a Perioperative Nurse Manager for over 15 years. Lisa currently serves as the Clinical Nurse Advisor for Periop for the National Office of Nursing Services for over 14 years and the past 8 years as Surgical Quality Nurse at the Phoenix VA. She is a member on VHA National Surgery Office advisor board for OR Nurse Managers. She is also a member of the VHA Perioperative Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM) Innovation technical Advisory Group.
