Ms. Henry is the founder of the Canadian Association of Ambulatory Care (CAAC), Canada’s first not-for-profit organization established for interdisciplinary professionals working in various ambulatory care settings.
Her academic background includes a Bachelor Degree in Health Administration with honors from the Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Master degree in Health Management from McMaster University.
Since 1993 Ms. Henry has had a long and successful career in healthcare. Her previous experiences include progressive leadership positions in Critical Care, Patient Advocacy and Peri-operative patient care.
Ms. Henry is currently the Director of Operations for the Operating Room & Related Services at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Canada’s largest Trauma Centre where she is responsible for a 75 million dollar budget. She is currently an Adjunct Lecturer with the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto. She is also a Program Advisory Council Member for Toronto Metropolitan University, Ted Rogers School of Health Services Management and a Program Advisory Committee Member at Seneca College of Applied Art & Technology Honours Bachelor of Healthcare Management.
In her various roles she has planned, implemented and evaluated many new initiatives to enhance organizational flow and patient safety. As a leader, she is constantly seeking creative ways to promote high quality patient care through a collaborative working relationships and continuous quality improvements.
