Jane Flowers, MSN, RN, CNOR(E), CRCST spent her career in perioperative nursing, as a scrub, circulator, RNFA, educator, and Manager. Her scope of practice spanned primarily adult patients, in services including open heart, neurosurgery, plastics, ophthalmology, robotics, and sterile processing. Flowers has been very active with AORN serving her local chapter with fundraising, bylaws, and awards nominations. Nationally, Flowers has served AORN being elected to the nominating committee, Board of Directors, Secretary, and Treasurer positions. Flowers has served AORN on multiple committees and task forces.
Over the past several years Flowers has spent time mentoring for the ANA, AORN, and informally with multiple AORN members. Helping to develop nurses to their fullest potential Is important to Flowers. She believes that mentoring is a gift that is shared by both the mentee and the mentor.
