Dr. Bush has working in healthcare for over 20 years with a diverse background to include revenue cycle, ambulatory management, human resources, perioperative operations and higher education. He has worked for The Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland Medical Center, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, and currently Emory Healthcare. Dr. Bush holds a bachelor’s of arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Baltimore, bachelors of science degree in Social Science from University of Maryland University College, master of arts in Legal and Ethical Studies from the University of Baltimore at Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences, master of science in Human Relations and Business from Amberton University, master healthcare management specializing in quality management and patient safety from Stevenson University, and a doctorate of education from Capella University specializing in performance improvement leadership. Dr. Bush’s is board certified in human resources (PHR), patient safety (CPPS), healthcare risk management (CPHRM), healthcare quality (CPHQ), and sterile processing certifications (CRCST, CER, CHL). Dr. Bush professional and social memberships include Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, Association of Healthcare Risk Management, Association of peri-Operative Room Nurses, The Society for Human Resource Management, Nation Association of Healthcare Quality, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association of Health Service Executives. He is currently a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves an associate professor at University of Maryland Global Campus – Business Management and Global Health Services department.
