Experienced perioperative Registered Nurse and Nurse Educator with experience scrubbing and circulating multiple surgical services at a Level One Trauma Center and Ambulatory Surgical Centers. Current Adjunct Faculty member at Central School of Practical Nursing specializing in curriculum development and state licensure exam preparation. Elected as an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Pediatric Surgical Nursing, peer-review panelist for the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses Journal, and abstract reviewer for the National League for Nursing.
Recently inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing as a nurse scholar for recent publication in the Journal of Christian Nursing (2019). Served as a graduate assistant for Notre Dame College while earning a Master of Science in Nursing Education (2020) summa cum laude, offering academic mentoring to students. Current student at Liberty University earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing Education. Research interests include perioperative nursing curriculum, perioperative nurse residency programs, improving perioperative nursing practice, and procedural nursing quality improvement initiatives.
