Dianne McFarlane is a peri-operative registered nurse who graduated from Nassau Community College in May of 2002; with an Associates Degree in nursing. She started her first nursing job in September 2002 and after working at a few Long Island institutions, Dianne took her experience to New York City. In November of 2008, Dianne started in the OR at MSK. While working full time, Dianne obtained both her Bachelor’s (BSN) from Adelphi University, graduating in May of 2015, and later her Master’s (MSN) with emphasis in Leadership in Healthcare Systems in May of 2017. She is an active member of the Minimal Access and Robotic Surgery (M.A.R.S.) committee, she has contributed to MIS operations such as capital and logistical planning. She is also a member of the Value Analysis Committee (V.A.C), in which she has assisted with and facilitated numerous product and equipment trials and evaluations. As a member of the Central Processing Department (C.P.D.) committee, she has collaborated with multiple team members from nursing admin, CPD, and nursing staff, for process improvement. Dianne’s continued thirst for knowledge and growth has allowed her to keep growing her career path which has led her to her current position as a Nurse Leader for the OR.
