Charge Nurse / RN
Boston Medical Center
My name is Harvinder and I am the proud mother of two children. I was originally born in New Delhi, India and arrived to the United States at the age of six. Since I was thirteen, I knew I wanted to become a nurse; having a strong passion for helping people is what led me down this path.
I’ve been at Boston Medical Center for many years, initially beginning my career on a medical/surgical unit. While I enjoyed my time there, I knew I was ready for a change. As soon as the opportunity presented itself, I joined the PeriOperative 101 program and became a part of the team, and I have never looked back. I have been here for over 25 years and continue to thrive in such a challenging, fast-paced environment.
Involvement in the work community is important to me, I have found that the operating room functions best when people work together as a team. Because of this, I joined the Nurse Practice Council; this allows me to work closely with my colleagues in providing the most updated, high quality, evidence-based nursing care.
