Dr. Walton received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She was invited to be the first fellow in the Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Harvard Medical School/Mt. Auburn Hospital. She is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstruction. She also has a Master's degree in the Business of Art and Design from the Maryland Institute of College of Art. She has performed over 600 robotic-assisted pelvic reconstructive surgeries and has developed programmatic growth around quality, cost containment, and safety. She serves on several medical advisory boards. She has presented programs nationally, regionally, and internationally. She has also received several grants and awards but specifically, she has been acknowledged in the areas of education and leadership. Her work includes educating fellows, residents, and medical students with various medical programs such as the University of Maryland SOM, Ross University SOM, and Georgetown University. She has an expansive career and is a known leader in the promotion of education, patient experience, and safe patient care.
