Jay is the Assistant Nurse Manager of the Zayed/Bloomberg 3 Operating Rooms (ZBOR3) which includes Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Spine, Trauma, Transplant and most recently, the Endovascular Neuro Interventional Surgery specialty at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland.
She started her career at The Johns Hopkins way back in April 2004 and she became a Lead Clinical Nurse since 2012 for the Cardiovascular, Thoracic and Transplant services. She then moved to ZBOR3 and continued her leadership as the Lead Clinical Nurse for the Trauma and Transplant specialties and later expanded to Neuro, Spine, Orthopedics and ENIS. Before coming to the US, She also worked in the UK as a charge nurse of the General, Urology, Plastics, and Vascular services at the Frimley Park Hospital for 5 years. And another 5 years at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute in the Philippines.
Jay obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Pedro College, Philippines. She also took her masteral units in Nursing administration from the University of Sto Tomas, Philippines. She is a certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) since 2017.
