Dr Michael Sinnott MBBS, FACEM, FRACP is an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology. As a senior clinician for over 35 years, he has experience working in hospitals and providing education to healthcare workers.
Michael has a strong background in research, contributing to over 40 publications and 30 speaking engagements globally, including presenting at AORN virtual conferences in 2021 and 2022, ACORN conference (Australia), 10th Anniversary Occupational Health Symposium (Hong Kong), and III Congreso Internacional XIX Congreso Nacional Enfermeria Quirúrgica (Mexico). He was a driving force in designing the Queensland Emergency Medicine Research Foundation and is a regular contributor to the Nursing CPD Institute in Australia.
Michael’s pioneering research into the link between staff and patient safety led him to be involved in the development of safety guidelines and regulations in the USA, and safety standards and infection control guidelines in Australia.
