Joy A. Lanfranchi, MSN, RN, CNOR, is a Clinical IV staff nurse and Laser Safety Officer at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California. She graduated with a Diploma of Nursing from Albany Medical Center Hospital School of Nursing in 1985, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Joseph's College of Maine in 2013, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanguard University in 2019. She has over 30 years' experience in a variety of surgical specialties. She has served as subject matter expert, education liaison, shared governance leader, researcher, and on certification test development committees. She has participated as an Investigator (both primary and co-) on several research projects, and has led the implementation of several successful combined Enhanced Recovery/ SSI Prevention Bundle efforts. Joy has published and/or presented on a variety of perioperative nursing topics at professional conferences. Joy was honored with the Daisy Award in 2013 and the Values in Action Award for Excellence at St. Jude Medical Center in 2017.
